I am not sure where the other rating came from in my name but I would never give this kit a one star rating. This wine kit is good and produces a good base for further fortifying to get a more port like mouthfeel. I add one bottle of cheap brandy per gallon which brings the ABV up to around the 20% mark. I felt it was still lacking something in the mouthfeel, so I added half a bottle of sweet sherry per gallon. It produced a very presentable port. This was invaluable as 2025 was too dry to get a good crop of blackberries which is what I normally use to make my ports.
A very good kit at a reasonable price. I shall buy again.
