Two heat pads results in 10 day auccess

Even though it has been incredibly hot during the summer days the temperature has dropped significantly at night. So I decided to invest in two Brew2Bottle heat pads to keep the two 25L brew’s temperature in the optimal fermentation zone. It has taken 10 days to get the SG down to 0.999 so well worth the money. The beauty is they are low wattage so very cheap to use.

For the first time I have got an accurate reading that the Pinot Grigio is finally ready. This nifty gadget goes in the wine at the start of the brew and sends data to your phone or tablet to let you know when your wine is done. I have traditionally left it for over a month before adding the finnings never quite sure. I know you can scoop it out and take a reading but it is such a phaff This particular batch has taken 10 days to complete thus dramatically cutting the length of time taken normally. Easy to set up and easy to use. Hassle free brilliant.
