Chemstone is specially formulated to remove scale and beer stone off your brewing equipment.
Beer stone is the build up of organic matter that settles on your brewing equipment. As a brewer you may have a problem with beer stone build-up in brewing vessels and containers. Beerstone is a compound called calcium oxalate, and if not completely removed can harbour microorganisms. Beer stone is a common factor in wild yeast infections within breweries, it can also act as a nucleation point and cause gushing.
Over time you find a thin layer of yellowish material building up on the sides of your fermenter which is difficult to wash off. Using abrasive cleaners such as Stainless Steel wool is not recommended as it scratches the surface and removes passivation.
