Bulldog IPA Beer Kits in a pouch are of the same high quality as the premium Bulldog’s only you have to add 1.5kg sugar yourself.. These kits will make 23 litres of beer and contain varietal yeast just as the bigger brother.

Produces 23L/40 Pints of IPA at approx. 5.5% ABV.

Very light ale

I only added 1kg of brewing sugar. It came out extremely light in colour , almost lager light. Dry hopped with EKG, but didn't really get them.
Easy kit to make, will try another eventually.

first attempt at an IPA

This was my first IPA and my first brew since 1986, I followed the instructions except I only made 20litres instead of 23 litres , I made a hop tea bag of ARAMIS hops 25gram and boiled for 10 minutes and squeezed the bag dry and added the liqueur to the starting mixture AVG was 1054, I fermented it out until the finishing gravity was 1002, I then put 29grams of Aramis hops in the microwave for 1 minute and boiled a muslin bag for a minute to sterilise it .I put the hops in the bag tied it up and added it to the keg as a dry hop, I was left after 2 weeks with a very aromatic slightly bitter ale that threw a punch.
I may leave the tea bag out at the start next time,
I have been looking at IPA hops and also I might try a cascade variety next,
overall feeling of the beer imho is that it suffers from too much sugar, 1.5kg of brewing sugar is way too much for the brew,I am going for 1.25kg next time
