Brew2Bottle 25ltr Home Brew Heat Pad With Temperature Control

We've just had a power cut and it's worth being aware that this heater doesn't come back on when the power does. You have to press the 'on' button on the controller. My wine had only dropped from 23C to 20C before I realised so no harm done. I will still award the heater 5 stars, though.

| didn't know whether to save a few pounds on the uncontrolled heat pad or push the boat out and buy the thermostatically controlled one. Anyway I'm so glad I didn't let my inner Scrooge take over as this lovely device keeps the temperature accurate to within 1C. I'm using it in an unheated room inside the house and it's keeping a steady 23C under my 5 gallon wine fermenter but I can't comment on how it would perform in, say, a freezing garage, as I've not tried it in those extreme conditions. You need a bit of tape (I used decorators masking tape) to stick the temperature sensor to the outside of your container. In conclusion, it does a brilliant job and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'm sure my wine or beer will ferment out faster when being kept at an ideal temperature and give me more consistency in the finished product. Highly recommended.

I must say that having done a test run with the heat pad, I was very impressed with the results. Having used heat belts before, I found the pad much more acurate and much easier to control the temperature in the barrel.

Brilliant product really does the job

I ordered this pad as the room I brew in can get quite cool. It's been fantastic so far. A reasonably long cable, dead simple set up, and it keeps my mash bubbling away, even when the temperatures drop. Spot on.
