A bit of hit and miss

As this is my first time using a corker, I rate the Ferrari corker's construction over the cheaper twin lever models, as you can adjust the plunger depth of the corks.
I presoaked my corks as that is what was recommended by the company who supplied them, I then corked 24 bottles of wine, some of the corks stood a few millimetres above the top of the bottle and most were pressed about 1mm below the top of the bottle, I think with practice it may get more consistent or it may boil down to finding the ideal cork, I used agglomerated corks which were the recommended size for the bottle's I purchased, I might try a different cork next time, but I am happy with how the corker performed and would recommend it.

Excellent stout

This is the second time I have used this home brew kit (Munton’s Export Stout) as it was a great beer the last time round, and I haven’t been disappointed. Nice flavours, lovely and rich. I added golden syrup to the wort which has brought a slight extra sweetness and depth to the beer this time. Brews both into bottle and into pressure barrel with no issues. Would buy again… and probably will!

Great kits

I have brewed the wines and the cider and am well pleased with the taste. My wife's favourite is the Pinot Grigio.
