Bulldog Micro Breweries contain all the basic equipment and the beer kit you need to brew your own beer:

A 1.75kg Bulldog Beer kit which makes 23L/40 Pints of Bitter, IPA or Lager
A large 32L fermenter with printed scale, lid, airlock and bung.
Sachet of steriliser
Hydrometer
Extendable syphon
LCD thermometer

Full instructions included. The only things you will need to add are water, sugar and bottles (or use a keg.)

Once you have used all the ingredients included in this kit, the equipment can be used to make any of the beer kits in our range.

Please note the following brewing sugar is required for each type:-

Lager at approx 5.0% ABV - Requires 1.3kg of brewing sugar
Bitter at approx 4.2% ABV - Requires 1kg of brewing sugar
IPA at approx 5.5% ABV - Requires 1.5kg of brewing sugar

1st Attempt

Here we go, my first brew for 40 years. Good kit , but no brewing sugar in stock so opted for Ritchies light malt extract. As per instructions it took 10 days to ferment. Bottled into pet bottles with drops, Little malty in taste and took forever to clear in the end used finings to speed it up, Not bad at all very nice infact finished at 4.9%. Think i'd like to try this with 50/50 sugar and spray malt, John Bull country cider next. Onward and upwards then, never too old to learn, very happy with results.

For any order over 5Kg we use DPD who can handle heavier and bulkier packages.
