Introducing the brand new 30L Pressure Fermenter by Keg Keg, Chubby!!

Looking for a round bottomed pressure fermenter that will hold your whole single batch of beer?

Well, whip out your Chubby and get the pressure on your next batch. Perfect for 23-25L batches without having to compromise or change your volumes.

Chubby has all the volume you need plus headspace.

These rugged, durable PET pressure fermenters are made from the same crystal clear PET material as our entire line of Fermenter King pressure fermenters and unitanks.

The pressure caps on these come standard and are the same, high strength design as those used in our smaller 20L Fermenter King Junior fermenters.

Even without a dump valve, brewers can still extract bright, clear beer after fermentation by way of the floating diptubes that come standard with each Chubby fermenter.

Easy to clean and contains fewer parts than unitank style pressure fermenters, Chubby is easily maintained by using a keg washer after fermenation.

The super smooth interiors make clean up simple.

Everything is more exciting when you have a Chubby!

Dimensions:
  • Height = 595mm to top of posts on the lid
  • Width = 300mm round

Top product. Makes brewing easy.

This is a really good product! Cleaning and brewing is easy with a Chubby!
I was concerned when product arrived with a big scratch on the outside that ran from the centre to down below the black plastic base. I pressure tested it and it was fine, so far I have brewed an American IPA and a second Hazy IPA is currently underway.
I purchased the 15psi PRV and used this in place of a spunding valve. Pressure is released above 15psi and drops to 11psi (perfect for ales). I brewed 23litres which leaves enough headroom for the crauzen to rise.
Hop additions are relatively easy. The neck is narrower than the Fermentasaurus but it was easy to open and quickly dry hop. Be aware that the pressure needs to be released slowly before opening the cap (wait 5mins after slowly releasing pressure). Beer comes out with mild carbonation at 15psi - if you want to you could quickly swap the 15psi PRV for the standard 35psi PRV after a late hop addition for extra bubbles.
This is a massive upgrade over a basic brew bucket. Faster fermentation at higher temperature, massively reduced chance of oxidisation and easy pressure transfer to keg with carbonation already well underway.

The ideal, simple pressure fermenter

I bought the FK Chubby to replace my 30 ltr Fermzilla All Rounder which just wouldn't hold pressure.
The Chubby, like my FK Junior, holds the pressure perfectly. I tested it for 2 weeks at 10psi without any loss of pressure. It is also so much easier to handle than the Fermzilla, particularly the lid assembly. I would thoroughly recommend it as the ideal, simple pressure fermenter.
