Tasty stout

Brewed this kit with 1.5kg of Munton's Dark LME, after 6 weeks it tasted a bit raw still however, I put that down to using the dark lme. After 8 weeks the flavours mellowed and this has turned into a really tasty kit. Does it taste like Guinness? Not really, if I had to compare it with a commercial beer I would say it tastes a bit like Sam Smith's Stout. It has quite a mellow bitterness, good body and mouth feel (rather velvety) some sweetness in the middle with that dark malt flavour just in the background. Not much coffee or chocolate with this one, just an easy drinking stout. Cheers

Bench capper game changer

Been bottling for a while and using a handheld capper. This bench mounted version makes a huge difference and has sped up bottling time considerably. Feels stable and I have a free hand to steady the bottle. Spend the extra money now and get one if you can.
