Brewed during the winter, so took nearly two months to ferment. Delivery service by Beer2Bottle fast and efficient - as always. Instructions easy to follow. Will purchase again in the future. Wonderful flavour.
All good, emailed the following day with gift card which i was able to print off and place in a Birthday card.
I like it. I am reasonably new to wine homebrewing and am in the experimentation phase. I'd previously got another twin lever corker of the sort commonly seen for sale on various websites. But this is a significant step up. Previously I had all issues with corks either not fully engaging or going too far in to be retrieved, depending on the geometry of the bottle neck. Once adjusted this gives really consistent results and I felt there was a bit more leverage that its competitor and it also clamps around the neck differently (it clamps around in a really unique sphincter-like way as well as resting on top) (do I get a prize for first ever appropriate use of the word "sphincter" in a review? :0)
Used once so far and I quite like it. It's a fair old size and I think you'll get as many dry hops in here as you'd tastefully need for a 40 pint brew. The gauze is very fine which stopped any hop bits getting through for me, yet allowed the hop aroma to come through. Certainly a lot less hassle than fabric bags or stretching socks over the end of siphons. Perhaps a tad pricey but a good tool to have.
This turned out ok and a bit more drinkable than the raspberry. I cheated a bit as I wasn't tempted by something that brews to 3% with a following wind so I did add 1kg light DME. I also dry-hopped with 30g Cascade I had left over from a previous brew. The result wasn't too bad but I wouldn't bother again. Significant other found it drinkable which was an unexpected bonus.
