We have mand many of these now.
We use 1kg sugar a kettle of hotwater to dissolve. Add the tin (make sure you sit it in hot water to get the syrup out easier) fill ot up with tap water until you get to 23l and then add the yeast.
Once the fermenting is done you'll know as no bubbles come through the air lock. Give it 2 days after you notice no bubbles to make sure.
When you bottle it put 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar in each bottle, add your beer and screw on the lids. Give them a lottle shake and leave for a week. That's it. You don't need to buy any fancy additions. Just sugar!
Superb beer thay doesn't leave you with an awful hangover.
Have used Brew2Bottle many times for home brew kits. Easy to use web site, great selection of products, prices are very good and delivery was fast. It’s great that I can get everything I need for brewing beer and wines under one roof. I have recommended to many friends.
a quick and very easy brew to do and served chilled its a win win.
I always keep a stock of Simply Lager in the beer fridge door. Yes it's a budget kit and I admit to using granulated sugar, but the result is always a refreshing session lager. Ferments quickly and clears well. Drinking within 3 weeks.
Seems to clear my bottled brews quite nicely. Perhaps not quite the crystal clear of a supermarket beer, which I guess would require filtration, but for me that's part of the charm of a live, "real" ale brewed at home.
I should add; I am a big fan of the Harris products and also thoroughly recommend Pure Brew.
