Bulldog Brews Beer Tin Ingredient Kits

By far and away the best IPA I've made yet, great depth of flavour and lovely aroma. So simple to make, I'm expecting great things from the Mad Bad Lager that I've just bottled now!

This is the first Bulldog Brews kit I've tried, and I must say I'm very impressed.

I brewed it slightly short (21l) using a 1.2kg pouch of Mangrove Jacks Pure Malt Enhancer, and added the finishing hops tea bag for the last 6 days of primary fermentation. The resulting flavour is massive, though a tad bitter at this (early) stage. I suspect 6 days was too long for the hop addition, especially when coupled with the lower water volume - I hadn't intended the tea bag to be in for so long, but circumstances overtook me and delayed bottling by a couple of days.

I'm optimistic that the flavours will really come together with a month or so of maturing, but even if they don't, this is still a tasty pint. In my view, the finishing hops set these kits apart from the "budget" ranges, and are worth paying a little extra for.

I’ve always been a fan of Bulldog Brews kits, so decided to buy a couple of tins of the Hercule Saison. It was so easy to do, brewed out in 10 days and has produced what is best described as a crisp tasting Lightly hopped lager. I’ve found it difficult to get the carbonation right in some other kits but this has great fizz, loads of lovely micro bubbles and as stated in the title of this review, really is stunning on the tastebuds.
Get a load brewed for summer, you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Ive made two bulldog brew kits with hops, stout and IPA, i love them both, best ive made yet.

This the second time I have brewed this kit and can thoroughly recommend it. Nice hoppy taste. Brewed with Mangrove Jack's liquid malt extract.
